Bill Gates really is an unsettled lot. After resigning from Microsoft early this year, he embarked into yet another crusade.
His new game is not another version of Age of Emprires, although they shares some similarities, rather it is an effort to shake the comfort of fundamentalists in the capitalism empire. He denounced ‘regular capitalism’ and urged the needs for creative capitalism in his Davos speech during a winter meeting of World Economic Forum 2008. See here for his speech text. Tons of comments, critics, admiration, analysis (can you believe this?!) on his speech, including in the mainstream media like Time.
I tend to argue that creative capitalism is just another way of ‘sexing up’ a dying system, which is desperately looking for a way to survive the next century. Just my two cents.
